A video recently uploaded to YouTube shows the fascinating story of Tom McAuliffe, an armless man, who played golf in the 1930s and did quite well.  McAuliffe played by placing the club under his chin, between his neck and shoulder.  He could drive the ball around 150 yards which is an astounding feet considering the circumstances.  In the video, it shows McAuliffe hitting the ball in various situations and he appears to have excellent control in all of them.

We have already seen a sex toy store giving away free sex toys in exchange for toys donated for the holidays.  Now, a strip club in Chicago is giving free lap dances to patrons who donate free toys for needy children.  The event is called “Lap Dances for the Needy”.  The strip club in question is  The Admiral Theater.

The strip club had the same event last year and brought in “car loads of new toys”.  The club donated the toys to local churches to give away.

The event last year was during the “12 Days of XXX-mas” and featured a stripper version of the Nutcracker.  According to their post from last year:

In addition to the free lap dance, donors will have the chance to get their photos taken with girls dressed up like erotically charged elves (as if there is any other kind). The event is a part of the obviously punned 12 Days Of XXX-Mas celebration, a marathon of debauchery that features other perverse holiday events like a stripperfied rendition of The Nutcracker, which is probably going to inspire more than a few jokes about clumsy dancers.

This year, the event takes place during the XXX Pillow Fight Club which, we are guessing, is a pillow fighting tournament of some sort.

The news that all of us who grew up during the 80s have simultaneously dreamed of and dreaded is coming true. “Top Gun” is getting a sequel. Not only that, but Tom Cruise, Mr. Scientology himself, is working on it. Let’s hope that it hasn’t become too modern and doesn’t feature Cruise in a recliner piloting a drone with an Atari joystick. While we are at it, let’s also hope they do us all a favor and don’t do any terrible duets.

A cat with 26 toes, named Daniel, has saved a Milwaukee animal shelter from financial ruin.  The cat is polydactyl meaning he has more digits than a normal cat.  Normal cats have 18 digits and Daniel has 2 extra digits on each foot which gives him a total of 26.  Typically, cats with extra digits are unwanted but the Milwaukee Animal Rescue Center found a way to take advantage of the abnormality.

Their plan was to start a fundraising campaign based on $26 donations, $1 per toe.  It has been a huge success.

According to Yahoo! News:

They’ve collected enough so far to secure the financing with about $80,000 raised since Oct. 24, but they hope to raise $120,000 by Dec. 23 so they can become even more financially stable. About $50,000 of the money raised has come from $26 donations.

Daniel will now have no trouble finding a good home and the animal shelter will be able to help rescue hundreds of other animals as well.

Someone in Shawnee, Kansas anonymously donated a diamond, about a carat in size, to a Kettle outside a Walmart.  So far, nobody has come forward claiming to have donated the diamond and it is still being appraised to see how much it is worth.  Last year, the Kansas Salvation Army also received gold bars as donations but this years donation appears to be worth more.

When going through the donations, Salvation Army volunteers are accustomed to finding bits of trash and this looked like no exception, until they unwrapped the paper.  The paper appeared to contain writing. According to DigitalJournal:

Natividad said he noticed a wadded up piece of paper and almost tossed it into the trash. Upon opening it he discovered a solitary diamond had been hidden inside. This wasn’t the first time Natividad has been surprised at what he found in the Christmas kettles. Last year a donor had deposited a gold bar, worth $300 at a Salvation Army red kettle drive in the same area.

A couple of awesome guys in Maine have done what we all wanted to do.  They created a car powered by Mentos and Coke Zero, known as the Mark II.  This time, the car used 324 mentos and 54 bottles of coke zero.  The car traveled 239 feet, beating their previous record of 220 feet.  The previous record also required twice the fuel.  They do, of course, tell people not to try it at home.

The Coke Zero & Mentos Rocket Car uses a piston mechanism: a six-foot long rod sits inside a six-foot long tube attached to each bottle of Coke Zero. When the Mentos drop into the soda, the pressure tries to push the rod out of the tube. With 54 rods all pushing at once, that gives us a lot of power.

All that power is pushing against a solid wall that’s attached to a sheet of plywood that runs under the rocket car itself — so the wall won’t move, the rocket car will. We get one big push for six feet, and then it’s all coasting from there.

For those who may not know, Mentos, the mint flavored candy, has tiny little pours which react bizarrely with carbonated water.  The effect is an explosive bubbling which can make for great entertainment.  This has also been tested on Mythbusters, who recently made news by shooting a cannonball through a residential house on accident.

A pair of gay penguins have been given a baby penguin to adopt.  The two penguins have been a popular attraction.  Now, they have a new addition to their family.  Apparently, the penguins have tried to steal eggs from other penguins to raise them on their own.  Now, they have been given a penguin which was born as a twin to a mother who struggled to give birth.  Twins are very rare for penguins and it is not easy to raise two at once.  The zoo decided to fix help the mother by giving the extra penguin to the gay couple.

According to ABC News:

“It’s a big job creating a baby penguin. It’s definitely a two-penguin job,” Kevin McGowan of the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology in Ithaca, N.Y., told ABCNews.com.

McGowan said that newborn penguins require a great deal of attention and effort to protect. In the rare event of a penguin giving birth to twins, one of the hatchlings can be in danger.

“In birds, it doesn’t matter what sex you are. Both sexes are perfectly capable and absolutely necessary to raise a penguin bird,” McGowan said. “It’s not like mammals where only one sex can feed.”

These are not the only gay penguins to attract attention.  The Toronto Zoo recently made headlines when they decided to break a couple of gay penguins in an attempt to preserve the species.  This led to a backlash, as one might imagine in Toronto, with cries to leave “Buddy” and Pedro”‘s relationship alone.

A man driving a silver sedan managed to squeeze into a parking space in Brooklyn, NY which is smaller than his car.  He did so by nudging cars in front and behind him.  He does get out to make sure the cars were not damaged by his mad skillz.  Apparently, he was able to get the car back out, according to an eye witness, the same way he got it in, very carefully.

Lucy is a giraffe on the set of “Wild at Heart”, the television series.  She is also pregnant.  Somehow, Lucy became trapped in a swimming pool near the set and rescuers had to get her out.  It took most of the day, as you can see.  They settled on destroying one of the walls and digging earth out to form a quasi-ramp.  Lucy does make it out which makes for good video/tv.
