A dog in Columbia sat outside a kiosk where students would buy snacks when on break from classes at a college across the street and noticed they were paying with paper. After seeing the students paying, he got the idea to buy his favorite cookies with paper he found on the ground, leaves.

A professor at the Instituto Educativo Técnico Diversificado del municipio de Monterrey, which is in Columbia, by the name of Angela started noticing the dog paying with leaves, which had already become common and amusing to locals. The dog, by the name of Negro (which means the color black in Spanish) was visiting the kiosk every day to get his favorite cookies which were common flour cookies. Since they were so cheap, the owners would let him exchange leaves for them at times.

The story began making headlines in local papers and people have reached out to the professor for more photos, which are linked below.
